Mounted Bearings

In a mounted bearing, the bearing is installed in a housing for easier installation within its application. Mounted bearings are available in a variety of configurations, including industry-specific designs engineered to solve unique problems. Available rolling elements include ball bearings, spherical roller bearings and tapered roller bearings designed to fit diverse applications.

Mounted Ball Bearings

A mounted ball bearing is contained within a variety of housing types, locking mechanisms and mounting styles to suit a wide variety of applications. Mounted ball bearing units have some degree of external static self-aligning capability to help accommodate misalignment. Included are also specialty ball bearings such as washdown capable, fan bearings, and more

Mounted Spherical Roller Bearings

Mounted spherical roller bearings employ a double row design, which are set at an angle and can accept a limited degree of thrust load in combination with radial load. Spherical roller bearings create an elliptical shaped contact area that is larger than a ball bearing. This attribute makes them ideal for applications where both static and dynamic misalignment is present.

Mounted Tapered Roller Bearings

Tapered roller bearings create a line contact between the raceway and rolling element, distributing loads across a larger area. A double row provides twice as many rolling elements to carry the bearing load, which increases bearing load capacity. Because tapered roller bearings are set at an angle, they can accept heavy loads from radial and thrust directions. This makes tapered roller bearings ideal for tough mining, bulk material handling, and off-highway applications.

Unmounted Bearings

Unmounted bearings offer a variety of benefits when a housing is not needed. Our products support a broad range of applications by leveraging a large portfolio of specialized products that offer different mixes of radial load, thrust load, speed, and dimensional options.

Deep Groove Ball Bearings

Deep groove ball bearings are non-separable, comparatively rigid radial bearings. The balls are guided in deep radial running grooves. These bearings are ideal for radial loads and smaller amounts of thrust loads

Angular Contact Ball Bearing

Angular ball bearings are available in either single row or double row configurations. They are suited for handling higher radial loads and thrust loads in a single direction.

Thrust Ball Bearing

Thrust load ball bearings are suitable for applications with high thrust loads on the shaft with medium or light duty radial loads.
